High Throughput Laboratory Testing

A Laboratory Test Machine Manufacturer wanted to develop their next generation high throughput specimen and agar plate management system. The machine would perform the task of streaking a clinical sample onto an agar plate. Once colonies of bacteria grow, scientists can identify them and diagnose the patient’s disease.

The machine helped in reducing manual work done by qualified staff through automation. A 3 minute prep+plating per sample was reduced to 7-15 seconds. The need for multiple manual manipulations was completely eradicated. The machine also helped reduce labor and rework costs by a significant amount.

The machine provides significant opportunities for laboratories to:

  • Increase throughput, improve efficiency and reduce lab costs
  • Increase quality and reduce errors and variability by standardizing streaking techniques.
  • Relieve scientific staff of repetitive and manual processes.
